Friends of Paynes Prairie, Inc.

Stargazing Event Cancelled - Rescheduled to March 12th

Due to extensive cloud cover on Saturday evening, the event is postponed.

TEMPORARY VISITOR CENTER FACILITY OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

Visitor services, book sales and other visitor support are again available from our temporary

trailer installed in the VC parking lot and operated 9am- 4pm daily by Prairie volunteers.

It's not fancy, but allows us to continue visitor services until the renovated VC opens next year.

The trailer and a very fancy toilet facility are funded by Friends and an emphasis is to continue raising funds

 for the VC appeal.

The utility/water/phone service installed to support the trailer will remain as a permanent improvement to

 Park infrastructure.

Board of Directors election.

See Meet Our Board of Directors for directors elected at the annual meeting to serve for the coming year.
