Dear Friends:

We are seeking donations of paintings and other works of art for the Silent Auction at the Conservation Stewards Banquet on 20 March 2009. This year Friends is partnering with Alachua Conservation Trust in hosting this important event to recognize the conservation heroes of our community.

So we are asking you to donate a painting or other object of art for the auction, which is an opportunity for us to raise significant funds for the operation of Paynes Prairie. Items can be almost anything of value, although this is primarily an art auction. Gift certificates from your business are certainly appropriate. We comply with the Artist's Alliance of North Florida guidelines for auction donations.

If you have a painting, print, or something else which would be appropriate, please contact me to arrange pickup and paperwork (there is always paperwork!) ­ 352.333.3184, or gedwards@atlantic.net. We do, of course, reserve the right of refusal for any item which is not deemed appropriate.
